Julian Calverley #iphoneonly

We are delighted to be hosting an exclusive exhibition of Julian Calverley’s #IPHONEONLY landscape work. 

Julian Calverley is a British born landscape and advertising photographer.
Although known for his large scale atmospheric landscape work, the last couple of years have seen him embrace camera phone photography.
It had never really occurred to him before to use such a device, having always considered his ‘professional’ camera equipment to be the only real choice. 
The spontaneous and portable nature of the iPhone, the availability of some excellent image processing apps and the ability to share the work with a wider audience via various microblogging platforms, makes it a powerful and liberating tool, capable of some surprising results.

We will be showing a selection of single and triptych edition pieces, along with copies of Julian’s highly acclaimed photo book #IPHONEONLY. 

The prints are made on Hahnemühle Bamboo 290gsm stock, and are signed, numbered and embossed.

This is the first time the work has been shown in Scotland, which is hugely significant for Julian, as the vast majority of his personal landscape work is made in the Highlands and Islands.

The event will run from Sunday 8th of November until Friday 20th of November in our Glasgow Gallery - 141 Ingram Street, Merchant City, Glasgow, G1 1DW
Julian will be making an appearance with us in our Glasgow Gallery on Saturday 14th of November, where he will be delighted to meet, chat and answer any of your questions you may have for him.
