Ms. Sherree Valentine-Daines has just revealed that the organisers of The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration event in May 2016 commissioned a painting from her as a birthday gift for Her Majesty. Ms. Valentine-Daines, the United Kingdom’s leading modern impressionist, was then invited to attend a private reception at Windsor Castle where the painting was presented to Her Majesty.

The commissioned painting is a double portrait of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in the setting of Windsor Home Park and includes Carltonlima Emma, one of Her Majesty’s ponies.

Ms. Valentine-Daines said she was “thrilled and honoured” to receive this commission. Widely regarded as the UK’s foremost society artist, she has exhibited at museums and public galleries throughout the UK including the Tate Gallery, Barbican and the Lord’s Museum.

Her work is included in numerous important private collections including that of the British Royal Family and former Prime Minister Sir John Major. Many famous names have sat for her including Lord Sebastian Coe, Jonny Wilkinson and Joanna Lumley.
