Pauline Alldis

Pauline is a portrait, figurative and wildlife artist. She works mainly in oils and has a wide variety of styles and scale of work.

From her earliest memories, sketching to compete with talented older brothers, and being mesmerized by the TV show ‘Painting with Nancy’ in the 70’s. She had only one aim for the future, and so the natural direction was Art College leading onto University, studying Natural History Illustration.

Her work varies so much, that she is constantly challenged and excited by the next painting or body of work. Her main subjects at present are portraits and figurative oils, her work ranges from highly detailed paintings to the looser atmospheric and emotional pieces. Each style of work helping to inform and shape the other, this balance of techniques are both challenging and rewarding, helping her to create and develop her own unique style.

Music in her studio is an absolute essential. She speaks of creating artwork as a rich and indulgent experience for all the senses and emotions, and said ‘the studio is my haven, and I feel incredibly lucky to have this way of life as my profession, My childhood dreams and ambitions are being realized with a fine balance of calm and exciting times’.
