“art and music have always been a big part of my life: i started playing guitar from a young age and played over 1600 gigs both in the uk and abroad. the guitars i played during this period especially in germany have stayed with me and can be seen in the stormtrooper painting “Buskers”. though i am not playing professionally, music is still a big part of me and i always have music on whilst painting. my earliest influences in art would be my mother who had a love of the impressionism and dabbled from time to time in oil paint. ... more

my father was a draughtsman and my earliest memories was copying drawings he had made. after that i discovered monet’s impressionism, salvador dali’s surrealism, the genius of caravaggio and the artistry and design of roger dean. all very different to some degree but i’ve always loved diversity.

i don’t enjoy being subject to one style or subject matter. i believe it is healthy for an artist to push and experiment with their art.
