We had the great pleasure of speaking to a chap called Michel Le Prince in our gallery at Jenners this morning.

Michel is a long-standing friend of Bob Dylan and wanted to view his much talked about collection.

A retired doctor, who originates from Nice in France, Michel recalled with great fondness the late sixties when he met Dylan for the first time at the Nice Jazz Festival - which his father was a founding organizer. He also recalls sketching, with Dylan, portraits of one another.

Now retired and living in Portobello is a keen artist and is well known in the community in Edinburgh.

Michel’s son is buying a copy of the drawn blank book for his father as a gift. Fond memories will be rekindled every time Michel picks up his copy of the drawn blank book!
