Royo

Born in 1945 in Valencia ~ Spain Royo has long been collected and clearly demonstrates his craft as a master painter. He depicts his Mediterranean life from his home in Valencia and brings a warmth and optimism through every canvas. Texture is created through strokes of bold and vibrant oil and his compositions are hauntingly beautiful. Royo's works emanate from a long history of European Art, a history culminating in his unique vision and expressions. In his lineage are, of course, the great Spanish artists who precede him and who are in his cultural and historical vein such as Velázquez, Goya, Sorella and Dali. Royo's work features in many prestigious collections both in Europe and the USA.
