George Harrison & the other Wilburys were constantly amazed at recording sessions when Bob would re-run a verse in countless versions, without thought or rehearsal. He seemed to be channelling the words from an outer source, and he was merely acting as the vehicle of delivery. I think that’s how it really works, but we have to forget all the stuff, all that propaganda we’ve been fed. We need to be very open to possibilities and prepared to really open ourselves up.
