It's been three and a half years since the launch of my first show - 'The Art Of Surprise', and this latest collection brings together 'Impossimals' old and new with a few odd surprises thrown in for good measure. They were all immense fun to paint and I'm going to have even greater fun telling you about all the stories behind them.

As usual the collection started with me wondering if I'm some kind of magnet for strange things, as life really does seem to get weirder and weirder. Is it just me or does everything in today's society seem to carry some kind of advice that used to form part of general common sense?

They are often a source of constant amusement, from Superman capes that warn children that 'Wearing does not enable the user to fly' to the obligatory 'May contain nuts' on a bag of pistachios.

However, it's generally the 'nuts' of life that make things so interesting; the quirky unexpected things you see and do or the eccentric characters you meet quite often form a good part of your memories and can be looked back on with fondness. So for that 'nutty' almost childlike side we all have when we stamp our own mark of individuality on life, this new collection - 'May Contain Nuts', is for you.
